Curriculum
This course provides you with a framework and a language by which to engage in discussions on sustainable finance with clients, colleagues and industry stakeholders. By the end of the course, you will also be able to map investment products by their sustainable investing approach and understand how these investments fit in a portfolio context.
This course is divided into 3 Topic areas:

Your Instructors
Falko Paetzold is Assistant Professor in Social Finance at EBS University and the Initiator and Director of the first university unit focused on the intersection of sustainability and private wealth, the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP) at University of Zurich. The Center is a spin-off from the Impact Investing for the Next Generation program for owners of private wealth that he co-initiated when he was a Fellow at the Initiative for Responsible Investment at Harvard University.
Falko was a sustainability analyst at Bank Vontobel AG in Zurich, and advised banks and family offices as a partner with the Contrast Capital consultancy. He founded the network GreenBuzz that enables intra-preneurs to drive sustainability in their firms.
Falko holds a PhD from University of Zurich and an MBA from University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland. During and after his PhD he was a researcher at ETH Zurich, Fellow at Harvard University, and Post-Doc at MIT Sloan.
Falko holds advisory board roles at the Swiss Association of Wealth Managers, the fintech start-up INYOVA AG, the foundation for music schools Zurich, the asset manager ACATIS Fair Value, and the sustainability-intrapreneur community GreenBuzz Zurich.

Katy Yung
Katy is Managing Partner at HK-based Sustainable Finance Initiative (SFi), advising and supporting family offices and investors on their sustainable and impact journeys.
Katy has served as Director of Investment at RS Group, a HK-based impact investor since 2010. She led the family office’s transition from a traditional investment portfolio to one that is 100% sustainably invested. In this role, she was actively involved in designing impact and climate change strategies and implementation across asset classes (utilizing both investment and philanthropic capital). Katy remains as consultant to RS Group.
Katy is formerly an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited and a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. She graduated from Duke University in North Carolina with a BA in Economics and a minor on Comparative Area Studies.
